“I Can’t Afford It!” And Other Limiting Beliefs

You hate your job. You need a new resume, because you want a new job. You contact me for help, because in my former life, I could write them in my sleep. I provide you with the cost. You’re suddenly broke, can’t afford it. You then ask my opinion of a pair of very expensive shoes, because you’ve GOT to have at least one of the two. PAUSE.

Shoes

There are those who are truly financially strapped and who fit the description of BROKE. Then there are those who are just not uncomfortable enough, to want to make a true investment in themselves, although they say they want change. When you become sick and tired of being sick and tired and are truly ready for a change, money seems to surface to make those needed changes. Until that level of discomfort bubbles up to the surface, humans will typically allow the status quo to remain and simply continue to complain.

Exactly what is the value of taking your life to the next level? Less than those red bottoms that you plan to wear to the job that you hate? If ” I can’t afford it” is your usual excuse when it comes to investing in you and your future, but you know how to finance an MK bag, it’s time to find a new excuse.

If the decision is between keeping your lights on and investing in your personal development, that decision is a no brainer. However, in many cases, with strategic planning, you can change your money situation But you probably cannot afford to continue bypassing potentially life-changing opportunities, because you’ve convinced yourself that you can’t afford it. Mindset. Mindset. Mindset. Are you ready to Uplevel Your Life or Stay Stuck, Stagnant and Unsatisfied? The former gets you closer to your dreams, the latter keeps you a bench warmer, reciting “If I coulda, woulda.” Don’t be afraid to invest in YOU. If not YOU, WHO?
